Finally a nail post on my blog :) I have so many pictures ready to be edited but then I always go and edit product photos because it's faster (I don't edit my photos too much, my main problem is deciding which nail polish photos too use because I always take a bunch of them).
I am a glass nail file believer. It started quite a few years back when glass nail files first entered our market. My first glass nail file was an Essence nail file, that wasn't very good. The file had only a layer of glass and it quickly became useless. It was however enough to make me interested. After that I tried a few brands and soon I exclusively used Credo nail files. Credo is not available anymore in Slovenia and since my nail files slowly started breaking, I was very interested in trying Mont Bleu products. Mont Bleu is a company from Czech republic; country known for its quality crystal glass products. What I love about their products (and crystal glass products in general) in how long lasting they are and that they can be easily washed and sterilized if needed.
First let's get one thing straight - this is not holo. Is it gorgeous? Yes! Is it holo! No! It grinds my gear when they describe duochrome as holo. I love both finishes but they are not the same. Now that we got that over with we can focus on the nail polish.
There is a massive blog sale going on my blog :) There is a lot of babies looking for a new home. I just have way to much nail polish to use them all so that's the main reason I am giving some away. The prices are low, from 0.5€ to max 2€ as I really want to get some more space in my Helmer.
Just click on the Blog sale icon at the top of my blog or click here.
Look at me, posting again :) My life is busy at the moment but I do wish to blog more. I'm running late with this New in post as I got a lot of new products since I took this photos but if I combined it all into one post then there would be two different light setting and I'n just plain to lazy to retake photos of this set of products #bloggeroftheyear
It's been a while since I bought any face and body skincare products. Nivea Caring micellar water for sensitive skin 3in1 care cleanser was a freebie with purchase. I normally don't use micellar water but sometimes it comes in handy. I'm a bit confused about the 3in1 claim as it doesn't say anywhere what the three functions should be. It's a pet peeve of mine when companies try to hype up a product to be a multitasking gift from god when in reality products like that don't exist. But ok Nivea. In the winter my skin get dry, flaky and itchy so I picked up Mixa Rich body milk for dry and very dry skin with glycerin and allantoin. So far I really like it, it calms my skin and sinks in pretty fast. The only thing that confuses me is its orange color, why would you dye a "skin friendly" product?
Catrice is known for their up-to-date trendy products so they bring out new products twice a year. The new Catrice release Spring/Summer 2017 also includes Catrice Instant lipstick mattifier 010 Matt is more*. Matte lipstick look has been all the rage so I can see the reasoning behind this product. But does it deliver? Scroll down to see :)
It's not a secret that Winter is my favorite season. This year has been less than great, it only snowed once and now we're just left with puddles of water. The least I could do were some simple winter inspired snow nails. They're very tacky and blingy but I dig that sometimes.
Another big haul post. In my defence most of the products were bought last year (that makes it sound slightly better hehe), I really minimized my spending habits since the beginning of this year.
Some luck came my way and I won two giveaways. First was by Metka from Lacquered bits and she sent me Mont Bleu nail files, which I adore. The other part of the prize were Il etait un vernis Teach me tonight and Cirque Halcyon. The second giveaway I won was by Tara from The beauty of nail polish, I received NCLA Redicalist. I've never tried any of these nail polish brands so I'm excited to play with them. Thank you again Metka and Tara!
Essence Winter glow TE hit the stores at the end of December so I know I' m a bit late with this review of Miss Frost nail polish. If you hurry up you might still find in a less up to date store. Winter glow is a cute collection but since I'm trying to limit my spending I only picked one product and that's Miss Frost nail polish.
First post of 2017, I took my time :) I am not one to really celebrate Christmas and New year so for me the festive glittery nails are not limited to only that time of the year. A while ago I dug out BPS glitter set and created two sparkly manis that can be worn anytime. The glitter set contains 12 separate pots of big hexagon glitters. Some are monocolored and metallic while some are duochrome and have a mylar plastic look to them
