Catrice Victorian poetry is an extravagant and luxurious limited edition consisting of eye shadow palette, matt powder liner, two satin matt lip colors, highlighting pebbles, five satin matt nail lacquer and a beauty purse.I had the privilege to test the lipstick out before the collection hits the stores.
The first thing I noticed about Catrice LE Victorian Poetry Berry British satin matt lip color (5.29€) was the beautiful packaging. Heavy rose gold tube with a beautiful design on the cap of the tube is truly an eye catcher.
Berry British is a dark fuchsia/berry color. It’s perfect for the colder months but at the same time not too dark for the spring and summer.
The texture is what completely sold me on Berry British. Even though the finish is satin/matte the formula isn’t dry and it’s very pigmented with a single swipe. It applies evenly and has the final finish right away, no need to wait for it to dry.
Lip swatch is made with Berry British only straight out of the tube (no lip liner or lip brush). Like with most satin/matte finishes the staying power is good. On my lips it stays intact for around 5 hours and then it fades nicely, leaving a strong stain. It survives drinking but if you’re having a meal the inner edges of the lips will suffer. Reapplying is not a problem, there is no crumbling or patchiness on the lips. It doesn’t nourish my lips (I don’t expect that from a lipstick) but it doesn’t dry them out either.
Catrice LE Victorian Poetry is coming to stores after 16.11.2016 and will be available at Müller, DM, Tuš, Ilirija and other drugstores.
Do you plan on buying anything? I have my eyes on the nail polish, mainly because of the gorgeous packaging.
