Blast from the past: OPI Siberian nights

I decided to do new series from time to time - Blast form the past (yes I am original :). As the name says I'm gonna show you  polishes that you've already seen here on my blog but with better photos :)
First one is OPI Siberian nights (original post here if anyone needs a laugh). I remember how fast it chipped on me the first time I wore it but this time I was pleasantly surprised. It could be a different top and base coat but I'm not complaining either way.
This was three coats, the polish has an almost jelly texture so you can see some bald spots which weren't so visible in real life. Color isn't anything unique, a deep blackened purple but I have a soft spot for black and almost black nail polish <3 I don't know what changed but I like this polish a lot more now than I did in my first post.

Essence Dark romance swatches and giveaway!

Look what I found! Well my boyfriend did :) I was so excited when this collection was announced but then there were rumors that Dark romance won't be available in Slovenia. I then contacted the distributor for Slovenia and they gave me the info that it will be available in Muller so that calmed me down a little bit :)

I wanted all of the polishes which rarely happens but this is such a dark classic collection that I just had to get them all. Here are some mini swatches( nail swatches for each polish coming soon):
- 01 Dark night starlight (the sparkling)
- 02 Red romance (the matte)
- 03 Moonless night (the suede)
- 04 Gothic gold (the sand)

Since I was so excited and I knew this collection will be harder to get, I decided to do a small giveaway and give away all four shades (which I bought extra, they're unused and unopened).

Now to some technical stuff:
- this giveaway is open internationally
- the giveaway ends on Wednesday, December 25th at midnight
- the winner will be chosen randomly and be notified with an e-mail
- the winner will have 48 hours to respond otherwise a new winner will be chosen
- the prize was bought by me

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Thank for stopping by and good luck! **

Once you go great you never go good

Last animal print nails  swear :) This time I went for a darker skittles version. For the base  used Manhattan 1010N. I stamped my pinky and thumb with konad m78 and Essence Piece of forever (ugly on it's own but great for stamping). Ring finger and pointer got a gold stud and on my middle finger I put Essence Steel-ing the scene gold topper (I'm sure you haven't seen any manis with it :)
I loved how dark yet still flashy these nail were, I am also warming up to skittle nails :)

On Wednesdays we wear pink

Here  go again with animal prints :) This time it's snake time. For the base I used Depend 034, bright pink opaque in one thick coat. Then I stamped with Konad black polish and KD23 plate. Please excuse the stains on my cuticles but that Konad polish is a bitch to clean off completely. I wasn't too in love with these nails, I had a different vision of them n my head so I only wore them for a day and then replaced them with something prettier that's coming up n my next blog post :)

Transgenic animal stamping

My nails are getting longer again again so it's my last chance to do some fun stamping on them before they become too long. And what's better than animal prints? Two animal prints :)
For the base I used Essence Redvolution, the perfect bright red that is opaque in one thicker coat and then stamped over with Konad Black special polish and a Konad m78 plate. I had some troubles with it cause the design didn't want to transfer all that nicely but in the end it looked ok :)

Catrice Rocking royals TE Royal blue

When I first saw promo shots for Rocking royals I wasn't too impressed because I thought that the polishes will be shiny. Then I saw first swatches and they were matte/suede. Since I don't own much suede polishes (i any) so I decided to get the blue one, Royal blue.
This polish is a dream to apply and by dream I mean a nightmare. I think it's the combination of the Catrice brush and very thick consistency which if I remember correctly is pretty usual for suedes. It's very pigmented, opaque in one coat it's gonna be good for stamping. The clean up was a disaster, the polish didn't want to dissolve in acetone so you can  imagine how hard it was to get it off my nails. I got tip wear within hours but after that the polish stayed on ok.
I would recommend this polish to you if you like the color (I think it's gorgeous) and if you wanna expand your collection with suede finishes and are willing to work with them :)

Ans a side note: I have a Facebook page now (yes, I caved in :) You can check it out here

Review: Born pretty store Feather water decals

This is the second product I've chosen from the Born pretty store. I always wanted to try the feather manicure (I should do more nail art in general, I'm working on it :) but 1: it never said on the feathers if they are real of fake and 2. it takes some hassle to file the excess feather away. So when I saw these water decals I gladly took them :)
You also get nice variety of water decals that will last quite a few manis. This was my first time working with water decals and it went much easier than expected. You remove the clear foil, cut out the motive, dunk it in water for a few seconds and then you can easily transfer the decal on your nail, I used just my fingers but I've also seen tutorials with tweezers.
For the base I used Essence Beauty beats TE As long as you love me. I sealed the decals in with top coat and they stayed on nicely. Water decals can be easily removed with nail polish remover. I loved wearing this mani, it looks like I've put so much more work in it than I actually did :)

You can get this sdecals for 1.99$ here.

Review: Born pretty silver stickers

A while ago I was contacted by Born pretty store which I'm sure we all know. They offer a great variety of products, especially nail art goodies so I gladly took their offer. First thing that I'm gonna show you are this silver nail stickers.
You get a big sheet of nail stickers in various designs. The stickers are very thin and flexible so they stay nicely on the nail and they don't lift (my personal pet peeve). For the base I used Essence Fatal and I sealed the stickers with topcoat. They lasted on me the whole time of the manicure, they didn't peeled off or anything. The removal was easy, I just used nail polish remover a usually.

Extra shot of my thumb, I love this sticker.

You can get this stickers for 5.99$ here.

Essence Happy holidays TE

I'm very late with this post I know, but getting my masters degree is really taking a big chunk of my time. So in October Cosnova organised a Catrice and Essence event for Slovenian bloggers which was oh so amazing so thank you again Cosnova! We could also take products to try out and I managed to hold myself back and I only took a few products, I'm totally proud :) To top everything off, they also showed us an exclusive preview of a new TE Happy holidays, which now just hit the stores. I managed to do some quick swatches, sorry for the bad quality of photos but I was so excited and shaky :)

I made a collage of all the products:

And this is how the stand looks:

Swathes of the Essence Happy holidays tinted lip balms:

Essence Happy holidays blush sticks:

Essence Happy holidays  colour³ nail polish:

I would definitely recommend you the res lip balm, it's a really gorgeous sheer red. The polishes are also very pretty but I'm totally bias when it comes to nail polish :)
Here you can read post from other bloggers who attended (they also have more photos from the event:
