Deborah Milano shine tech 18

First off, sorry for the nail lenght inconsistency :) No, my nails did no just miraculously grew that fast :) I post my manis with about two weeks of delay. I started doing that so I always have a few posts ready in case I don't get good light for photos or I'm wearing something I've already shown you. I swatch in advance but never more manicures per day. I put nail polish on, take pics of it and then wear it until it chips/I get bored with it.There, a little background on me :)

I had to wait almost an entire month for a sunny day to swatch Deborah Milano shine tech 18 for Meri from Mejkap, who requested to see it. I'm so glad she did, because it looked gorgeous in the bottle. On the nails it's a different story unfortunately. The holo glitter really doesn't shine through and it dries quite gritty, even with top coat. Such a shame cause it really looks gorgeous off nails. I'll have to try it again it the summer, maybe it will look better in a stronger light :)

Barielle shades Elle's spell

It's flakies. In a red base. That's all I'm gonna say :) Nah I'm kidding but this was all I had to know about Elle's spell before it came on my wish list. This polish is pure love, classic with a twist. It's pretty sheer on it's own so I layered it over my favourite red, Essence Late at night. This is two coats of each. Too bad Barielle shades aren't easily available to Slovenia cause I'm really impressed with Elle's spell <3

Essence Walk on the wild side

Now that my life got a little less crazy I have time for some request I got on my COTM October post.

Walk on the wild side is a new shade that came out with the new bottles. Gorgeous fall colour, dark dusty green with small glass fleck particles. Love at first stroke (minus the brush:) It's nice and pigmented but not too thick.

I know some don't like this kind of dark, murky shades but I love them :)

What's your fave fall colour?

Pretty and polished Born again

This is probably my first and last post about an indie brand polish. Warning, mini rant ahead :) I really don't get the fascination about all the indie brands out there. I feel that it got totally saturated and unoriginal. Most polishes go by the same formula: big chunky glitters of different sizes and colours in a clear or jelly base. Colour me impressed (not). End rant :)

I got Pretty and polished Born again as a gift from Miss Gin. It has a shimmery blue jelly base with different chunky glitter in silver, black and holographic. This is two coats over L.A. Girl Dance studio.

I have no feelings toward this mani whatsoever. Don't like it, don't dislike it, it just is.

What's ypur take on indie nail polish?

Frankepolish: Blazed

This is my attempt to make a dupe for Zoya Blaze (couldn't tell by the name huh? :) A bit failed one, it doesn't look that much like Blaze, but I do really like it anyway. Nice dark red jelly base, filled with holographic glitter. I used clear nail polish, Essence Hello holo and Catrice Caught on the red carpet. This is three coats, no top coat. It looked beautiful and much more holographic/sparklier in real life.
I still think I need Blaze in my life, but instead of writing wish lists I should be working on a blog sale :) So for now I'll just stay satisfied with Blazed.

How do you avoid nail polish cravings?

Essence Breaking dawn part 2 TE Alice had a vision - again

To put it mildly, I'm not really a Twilight fan. Maybe that's the reason I don't get the name. Alice had a vision. Again. Like how many visions does she has? Must be one psychic vampire :)
I do like this nail polish more that Jacob's protection, even though they're both beautiful. Gorgeous dark purple base, filled with similar glass flecks as Jacob's protection, only that they are in purple and green. It also has just a tad nicer formula, unfortunately the brush is equally shit :(

Essence Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2 TE Jacob's Protection

This is the first polish from Breaking dawn TE that I'm gonna show you. This little beauty is Jacob's protection; blackened blue filled with tons of blue and green glass flecks. But this is where the good things stop :(
The quality really isn't up to Essence's usual standards. The brush is short, bushy and badly cut, polish itself is thick, goopy and will not dry.
Knowing all of that I would still buy it again and again, because it's so gorgeous <3 If you can get it anywhere, get it :)

Did you get anything from this collection?
