I managed to snatch 4 used but still full Alessandro's for 1€ each yay :) (they retail for 4/5€ for 5 ml, ouch)
259 (I can't find any name) is a deep blue polish with big shimmer/small glitter in silver an orange-red to green flakies. This is two coats plus topcoat, application was smooth. Look at this beauty <3

OPI Koala bear-y

So I've decided to give OPI another chance. I have one glitter from them that I love and two polishes from Moscow collection that chip on me like crazy. I wanted to try a polish from some other collection, maybe Moscow just isn't compatible with my nails (even though it's gorgeous <3). So if not Russian, go Australian :) This is Koala bear-y, a bright pink creme, 2 coats with easy application. Love the name, love the color and I certainly love those fuzzy little beasts <3

This mani actually lasted on me for almost 4 days, so me and OPI might have a future together :)
Koalas FTW :)

Essence Crazy good times TE Princessorize

Another from the Crazy good times collection. This was so hard to photograph arghhhhhhhhh! Princessorize has a pink base with tinny flecks in it, that flash blue. I applied two coats but it's quite sheer. It looked good in person but for photos a third coat wouldn't hurt. Excuse my poor cuticles, this is what -10 °C did to my hands.

Also a little update: I won the Parokeets challenge *happy dance* I know from comments that some of you voted for me, thank you all :*

Astor 70 with P2 Blue thunder

I wanted to show you Astor 70 but as I was browsing trough my folders, I realized I forgot to take photos of it before I cracked it up with P2 Blue thunder. Bad, bad blogger :) No worries, Astor 70 is such a hot shade I will definitely wear it soon on it's own.

Two coats of Astor 70 and one coat of P2 Blue thunder (with topcoat)

Hey there Little red riding hood.....

First off, a big fat juicy disclaimer: this is not a "please vote for me, I've never won anything in my life, I really want this and I'll totally have a huge giveaway for you guys if I win" type of post. Like just......no :)
Of course you can vote for me if you think my mani is the best out of all of the entries but I'm not gonna go down the make my readers vote for me lane :) So here it is, my entry for Parokeets challenge My favourite fairytale is ....

" I decided to enter this challenge with Little red riding hood inspired nails. This has been my favourite fairytale since I can remember. My mother read it to me all the time when I was little. I still like it because it has a little bit of darkness in it, just like this mani. Red represents little red riding hood and the black is the darkness of the woods. Everything is finished with white wolf fangs details."

I really like this mani and there are some really good photos of it (cause my BF took them and not me :)
Things I used: Essence Back to black, Take my red away, Stampy nail polish in White (great pigmentation), a sponge and a dotting tool. This is what I ended up with.

What's your favourite fairytale?

My Valentine's Day manicure

Black. Just like my heart. If I still had one.

Just kidding, it is black but look closer..........yup, it has tinny black hearts on it :D Subtle but I think it looks cute and not over the top or too obvious.

Essence Back to black, Matte topcoat, some clear polish and a dotting tool for hearts and dots.

 Do you celebrate Valentine's Day?

Essence Crazy good times TE Colourbration

You ready for some crazy good times? (OMG who writes this cheesy tacky shit? :)

First up is Colourbration. This is not a colour everyone will like; a lime green with tiny yellow gold flakies/flecks. Two coats, a little on the thick side, but a third coat wouldn't harm. I must say this is a very longlasting nail polish; it lasted on me for 5 days, no chips or tip wear, took it off cause I was bored :)

Would you wear this shade? Did you get anything from this collection?

I'm gonna keep my sheep suit on AKA Parokeet's Birthday challenge

I think fairytales are really good inspiration so I did a manicure inspired by my favorite story from my childhood. The challenge ends on Sunday, 12.02.2012, so you still have time to enter and get all this goodies

I can't show you my mani yet, but I can give you a tip what it's about ;)

Douglas Fireworks

You know the polishes that look awesome in the bottle, on swatches from other people and even on your own swatches, but in real life you just don't imagine wearing it outside the house? It had never happen to me before, but now it has. Everyone, meet Fireworks AKA another Peridot wannabe. Beautiful warm gold and green duochrome, you can see a little bit of brush strokes, but it doesn't look bad IRL.

Two coats plus topcoat

I love it on my photos (cocky much?;) but watching it on my hands just felt so wrong :( It already has a new home as you are reading this. I guess it just wasn't meant to be. Has this ever happened to you with any shade?
