Avon Violetta sparkle

Sorry for the lack of post lately, but I've been really having troubles with taking photos. The problem is light: it gets dark quite fast here and I usually miss natural light due to my other occupation. If I take photos under artifical light, photos turn out yellow and my ghetto ass home made lightbox makes every nail polish on my nails look matte. The hell? Any tips? Anyways, on to my nails :)

Today I wanna show you Violetta sparkle, awesome purple base with small golden flakies. This is my first Avon polish and I'm quite impressed. It has a great brush and a fast drying time. The only thing that I really don't like are the color swatches in their catalog; the colors look so off and way uglier, I would strongly suggest you check the shades before ordering online :) This is 3 coats plus topcoat.

Milani one coat glitter silver dazzle

Well, they lied :) You need two coats, but for glitter that is still pretty awesome. Silver dazzle is an amazing combination of silver and smaller black glitter. No problems with the application, but it eats top coat like crazy. This is about two or three coats of it and it still isn't completely smooth. It's so sparkly IRL, the pictures don't do it justice. I'm so impressed with this polish, I am seriously thinking about getting the other colors from One coat glitter collection. Now let the picture spam begin :)

P2 So cool! and other P2 goodies

Recently I got my very first P2 polishes; my boyfriend got them for me on his trip to Germany (thanks again hon <3). He bought me Dating time (red), Passion (coral), So cool! (blue) and Blue Thunder (blue glitter crackle).

Now let's get to the polish on my nails. Is it so cool? Yes. Is it so original? No :) So cool! is just your basic metallic blue. But that doesn't make it any less awesome <3

2 coats + topcoat

Underwater art

My recent attempt at simple nail art (still learning :) Essence Underwater plus black chevron tips with a blingy rhinestone. Quite subtle (minus the rhinestones) but I liked it.

Things used:
- Essence Underwater
- no name black striper
- topcoat (don't have glue for rhinestones :)
- cheap rhinestones from ebay

Do you like nail art or do you prefer solid colors?

Frankenpolish: Drenched

Hello :)

It's been a while since I did some frankening but I'm getting back to it. This is a new addition to my collection; a juicy glittery red jelly by the name Drenched. It's nothing original but I love this type of squishy jelly polish with ''floating'' particles.

The recipe is simple:
1/2 of clear
few drops of Essence Call it fame (or any other bright red)
fill up the rest with Essence Circus confetti

This is 3 to 4 coats and it's still quite sheer (you could see the nail line if my nails were longer) but I don't mind. Plus if the polish is more opaque, you don't see the glitter peeking trough <3

Also, my middle finger is slowly getting back to normal, yay :)

My Siberian valentine

Today I'm showing you this layered mani - one coat of My valentine by Kleancolor over two coats of OPI Siberian nights. I kinda regret this combo because both polishes are a little problematic. It's been a while since I had Siberian nights on my nails and it totally reminded me, why I don't like it (and OPI :) The problem with My valentine is that it's very thick and almost gel like, like most Kleancolor glitters are. It's a pretty mix of big hexagonal green, gold and silver glitter and smaller purple ones. It doesn't look very Valentine's day appropriate to me but hey, at least it has a name and not just a number.

Unfortunatelly I broke a nail on my left hand middle finger (how appropriate ;) on Halloween <3 and it broke pretty bad, like in my nail bed bad :( So I'm gonna have to switch to my right hand for photographing. Prepare for crappy photos, cause I can't operate my camera with my left are all that well. Yeah I'm special like that ;)

L.A. Girl Matte Blue Twilight

Hello :)

In my previous post I asked you what would you like to see next and the first wish was made by Nanethiel - here you go :)

Blue twilight is a matte dusty dark blue polish with purple undertones. The finish to me is somewhere between matte and plastic. It's very pigmented but you still need two coats because it applies unevenly. The brush is a nomal rounded one and it dries a little bit longer that matte polishes usually do (plus China glaze Fast forward quick drying top coat spoiled me rotten :) Unfortunately, Blue twilight is not very durable, I had tip wear after 12 hours :( All in all, it's a nice polish, but  I wasn't really impressed.

Natural light:

That's why I put some subtle leopard over it, that usually helps ;)

Artificial light:

Which version do you like better?

Hello holo Romeo :)

Today I give you an older mani from when we still had more sunny days :) It's a combo of two Essence polishes: one coat of Romeo (old, metallic/frost version) and 2 coats of topper Hello holo. It was way sparklier in real life.

A blurry photo so you can imagine better, how it really looked <3

Essence Re-mix your style TE Maybe I'm amazed

Yeah, I'm totally amazed ;) I got really lucky with this collection, because I found it untouched. I couldn't resist and bough two toppers, Waking up in Vegas (flakies, d'oh :) and Just can't get enough. I also got bases Light my fire, Maybe I’m amazed and Show me the way.

Maybe I'm amazed is a gorgeous plum purple creme for Essence's last trend edition. You need two coats for full coverage, it dries fast and has a typical Essence old Multi dimension brush. I planned it as a base for Waking up in Vegas topcoat (also Re-mix TE) but I think I'll leave it as it is, at least for a day :)

Did you get anything from this TE?

Ruby kisses Regaled out blue

Just a quick post before I crash into my bed. I have something really awesome for you; a dark cobalt blue jelly <3 This is two coats, fast drying time, very shinny, but damn it was smelly :( I could hear my lungs and liver crying.

In the shade:

In the sun (d'oh :)

Look how squishy and jelly this looks <3
